Sydney Seafood School turns 20!

The Sydney Seafood School at iconic Sydney Fish Market turned 20 this year!!

To celebrate, a brand new cooking school has been refurbished and redesigned by Michael McCann of dreamtime design australia. Michael is well known for the edgy, stylish designs of some of Sydney’s best known eateries, Flying Fish at Pyrmont, Pony at The Rocks, The Argyle, Steel Bar & Grill and now The Sydney Seafood School.

As Roberta Muir, manager of the School for the past 10 years,  said “The new-look Sydney Seafood School is certainly broad on eye-appeal and a feast of textures: from the stunning sandstone sculptures of award-winning artist Michael Purdy, through the Icelandic fish leather lining the auditorium, to the wild ‘blackboard graffiti’ of artist Joy Godley on the hands-on kitchen walls. Rich oak wood panelling, an aubergine-hued granite bench top, sleek stainless steel and lots of glass complete the Michael McCann-designed refurbishment”.

Take a look at the party to celebrate the opening….
